The start of the school day is indicated by a whistle being blown at 8.45am. Children are then expected to promptly line up in their classes before being escorted into school by their teacher. As soon as the whistle is blown, we would ask that parents move away from the class lines so that we can ensure that children can enter school safely and efficiently. Please note that children should not be on site earlier than 8.40am unless they are accompanied by an adult.
Parents of children in Reception may accompany their children into the classrooms, from 8.50am, in the first few weeks of term.

The school day ends at 3.15pm for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children and at 3.20 pm for Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. Each class is escorted by the class teacher to their designated exit point. All teachers remain with their pupils until their parent/carer is identified to collect them. If a child is walking home they will be encouraged to go home immediately and not to play in the playground at the end of the day. All parents are encouraged to inform the school office as soon as possible if they are unable to collect their child at the end of the school day so that alternative arrangements can be made and communicated to staff and the pupil.
