Home learning, provided in line with current Department for Education guidance, is not intended to replace classroom teaching and will be proportionate to pupils’ age, needs, and access to resources at home.

Home learning will be set only when required, for example, when a pupil is absent for a period of time due to illness or other agreed circumstances.

When home learning is necessary, the school will:

• Provide appropriate work that reflects the curriculum being taught in school

• Use existing platforms and resources already used by pupils in school

• Give reasonable timescales for the completion of work

• Offer support where needed, within normal working hours

Families are encouraged to speak to their child's teacher if they experience difficulties accessing home learning so that reasonable adjustments may be considered.
