Year 3 enjoyed a trip to Layer Marney Tower yesterday. They learned lots of information about the Tudor period, including what life was like at school and how they brushed their teeth.

Quotes from the children:

“It was fun and exciting.”

“You could see everything clearly from the top of the tower.”

“We got to be like the Tudors and write with a quill.”

“My favourite part was going to the top of the tower.”

We have been studying play scripts, recognising the features and using expression in our voices when acting them out. We have linked our new learning to our current text, The Twits.

In these photos, the children practised reading through the script and following the stage directions. Some of the children performed their play to the class.
